Our Projects
Kids Sponsorship
To My Aid International has set up a child sponsorship program, where children from poor families are given the opportunity to go to school. These children receive Christian education, a meal at school and, when necessary, medical care and extra lessons.
Personal contact between the sponsor and the sponsored child is possible via letters. At least twice a year a sponsor receives a message from the sponsored child. The child sponsorship project gives children in Ghana a chance at a better future. Would you like to help a child, or would you like more information? Then leave a message
Fashion Design Training
To My Aid International offers Fashion & Design training to unemployed women and teenage girls who have dropped out of school. In 2023, the first 10 women, divided into a morning and afternoon group, will have started sewing lessons for five days a week. The aim is to empower women socially and economically. Learning a trade increases their chances on the labour market. After completing the training, the women can start working as seamstresses or start their own small business. Learning a skill also has a positive effect on the self-confidence and self-image of the women.
To My Aid International will start building a classroom for the Fashion & Design training in late 2023. Construction will be completed in 2024, and full-time training will be provided to 12 women.
Special Education
In 2021, To My Aid International started weekly training for children with disabilities. During this training, the focus is on developing various skills, such as communication, language-speech development, motor skills and social skills. The training shows progress in the development of these children. Because they need more than one training per week, To My Aid started special education for five days a week in 2024. Local teachers are trained to be able to teach these children.
